fourth of july

so I worked. yup fourth of july and I got to answer phones. thankfully everyone who actually found it absolutely imerative to call their wireless provider today was pretty nice. they just wanted to straighten some stuff out. unfortunately pretty much everything outside of customer service was closed so I had to tell them to call back tomorrow. so few people were calling in that I got to leave early! yay 915! so I rushed to chris' so that I force him and his friend to go watch fireworks with me. I ABSOLUTELY love fireworks. they make me happy. so we watched the whole ten minutes of them I got to see based on the time I got out of work. went back to chris' and he took a nap until he had to leave for work. yup he has to work 12a to 8a. no me gusta. but hey I made pie that is going to be amazing tomorrow. so I am looking forward to that. sleepy. oh so sleepy. I must away now. this blog was just so everyone one else had a decent way to get sleepy too. goodnight.

dum dee dum

hello all, so march, april, may, june and I guess now it is july. what can I say, I have a life and apparently no desire to blog about it. alooot has happened. still with chris. we have fun. he has a new apartment. fancy new job. I myself still live in the same place and have a boring new job but it pays better which gets me toward the goal of no more parents' house!! I have been car shopping and school shopping. I want to take the local police officers' exam this year, but it isn't offered so I think it is in my best interest to go back to college. I am not old, but I will only get older each year. my new job is nice and late at night and fortunately so is chris' so we still get to see each other. he sold his very expensive african grey parrot [koko]. I liked his bird an awful lot, but it just seemed like it was in everyone's best interest to sell him to a nice lady who had lots of time to spend with him. don't tell chris but I think I am gonna plan something fun for us to do when we actually get time off together. he is sneaky and will likely find this blog, so I can't tell details now, but lets just say another good roadtrip. I miss them! my bestest friend/sister molly is moving away from home this week. this is the permanent "I graduated undergrad and now I am going off to a real job, no more moving back home" move. she is excited and nervous and I share those emotions for her. we hung out and did one more overnight at her parents house and watched a movie on her tiny laptop screen. defintely...maybe is a cute movie. I am a fan of ryan reynolds. watch him in something like blade trinity and you'll be a fan too. I just went today to see wall-e. yay pixar. another cute movie. I went with chris. there were a ton of small children there, which was to be expected. the small child that sat next to chris seemed a little scared, which in all fairness I am still a little nervous to sit next to stranger in the theater, if they were at least double my size, I'd choose a different seat. the kid behind me kicked my chair a couple times, but that was acceptable. at least it wasn't constant. chris is starting a business selling gamer stuff. how awesome does that make my boyfriend, I mean seriously. click on his page, follow his links. or message him. he'll hook you up with what you need for great gaming, especially all the rpg peeps out there. hey, I am on his side I will shamelessly plug him to all potential buyers. but on that note I believe after all this time, I am done blogging for the night. it is like when you stop working out for a while. start off slow so you don't pull something.

oh right, my blog

so Easter is on it's way and I am curious to know when it became Christmas. I heard a woman discussing with a friend what her kids were getting for Easter. The boy was going to get a Wii, that's right a Wii, for Easter and the girl was getting a power wheels car, through they are not sure she's old enough. Now I understand that this is not the norm, however kids are getting a lot for these menial holidays now. Arguably, Easter is not menial for those that are religious, but at the same time, the trade off is there is no bunny and no gifts just a big dinner with friends and family. Even for valentine's parents were coming out in droves just trying to make sure their kid brought the best valentines to school. Gag me if I am being unreasonable, but a 20 dollar present for St. Patrick's day is a little over the top.
with that out of the way, this could get redundant for those that read Chris' blog. My birthday just passed and I loved it, yay I am 22. kicked the weekend off with the beginning of Chris' DnD campaign. My character, an elven rogue named Silaqui, had some fun, she fought a little, almost died, stole some stuff, almost got caught by guard while jumping into a window in broad daylight...hey, I am new at this game and I was bored. She'll be a better trickster rogue next time. Saturday followed up with Chris and I getting the party supplies at the store and liquor store. Everyone got there, we drank, played guitar hero chiefly against one of the guys that is killing it on expert. meanwhile most of us that were actually playing have only hit he hard set recently. With the exception of my brother, we took his guitar hero and wii system virginity that night. the following morning Chris and I got up and ready and traveled out to Syracuse to go to the malls. That was good bonding ;) then we went to dinosaur bar-b-que for dinner. Long wait, but good food that was worth it. We saw Martina McBride in concert! This woman is my music hero. She is the epitome of who I would want to be if I were ever in that industry. the opening acts left something to be desired because they were a little too country for me. I kept singing to Chris, despite the fact that he doesn't like country because I wanted him to know I appreciated him being there and that even if he didn't enjoy it, it was worth bringing me because it was something really special. so yeah, good times for me!
time to go be a gamer, I haven't played mortal kombat in so long. I think it is time I kick someone's ass.

yay

So, the Valentine's Day adventure was awesome. I woke up in the morning, rather grudgingly I might add, at a cool 8:30am. Chris was already trying to roll my lazy butt out of bed. Then he opens my hand and fills it with a box. In said box was a beautiful necklace that I absolutely love....We went to get some gas and some food and then off on the road we went. We traveled to Albany as I previously mentioned. The first stop was the crossgates mall. We found that with relative ease and we wandered around wasting time and eating jelly beans and gooeys. We decided it was time to head to the real destination and back to the car we went. Okay, so mapquest sucks and we got lost but Chris is awesome and we found the place using an atlas and our internal compasses. From the outside the rock climbing gym looks like it is just a shipping and receiving building. Once inside you can see all the walls to climb. There are also caves but we'll get to that later. SO you get shoes that cramp your toes and a harness that binds your butt but it's totally worth it. First you learn to climb and belay. I am lighter than chris so when it was time for me to belay I had to wear "frank" a 75 lb rock to make sure that when chris tried to come back down he wouldn't fall or drag me up to the top instead. As fun as the climbing was, I loved the caves. The caves went behind the climbing walls as well as above them. most of the caves were completely black and were tiny to squeeze through. Before you're allowed to go through the caves you have to squeeze through the tiny box at the entrance. Getting stuck in random places where you can't see what you are doing is always fun. After the rock gym we went to tgi fridays. That was good and it was followed up by coldstone and starbucks. then we went back to my house to dog sit my parents dog. Maggie+chris+sara=not a lot of sleep for sara or chris. How can one medium sized dog take up so much bed. until next time I must away.

don't hate

okay, so I came here to type a new blog and I find a semi-complete sentence and a bunch of empty space already in the box. Considering it was a long gone thought I chose to erase it and start anew. So, here comes Valentine's Day!! For those of you that work in retail, like myself, you are thinking "here comes? Valentine's day was a nice thought 4 weeks ago, but I've got some lovely shamrocks for you, please buy the damn things so that I don't have to rezone them 48 bajillion times more..." ugh. With that out of the way I am actually really excited for the 14th. There is a lot of mystery to the day for Chris because I have not told him a majority of what is happening, however I did let him know that we will be rock climbing that day. We are going to take a day trip to Albany (for those that are confused that is the real capital of New York despite the neglect shown to it). It sounds really exciting and it seems like he is looking forward to it to. Now the place we will be going to has climbing walls and caves you can spelunk down in to. No, spelunk is not a dirty word nor is it a sound effect. Click on it, it will tell you what it means.
Also, recently Chris, his friends, and some very handy text book like books have been teaching me how to play DnD. Guess I got a little too into the acronyms epidemic that is my workplace; DnD is Dungeons and Dragons. It is actually a really cool role playing game. I have only offically played once, and it was only a mini capaign, but I liked it. My human fighter died. A tentically (yup that'll have to do for a word describing a mythical creature) worm thing paralyzed Khalina (that's what I named her, actually I named her Khalia, but I added the "n" because that is the closest thing to her name Howard-the Dungeon Master-would use) and her buddies and by the time we would've come to it had eaten us.
Still looking for a new/part time job. I applied at another place the other day. I got an interview the day after. Now I am playing the waiting game. I am hoping for anything at this point. By the end of the week I am going to start calling some places back. I also have been considering a completely different full time job, nothing specific. It's just checking a different box on the application, but I am starting to have cut hours at work and I do NOT like it. Cross your fingers for me, and maybe couple of your toes. Pray for me if you must, but promise me if you hear anything back you'll tell me, cause that's fun, and who knows, maybe your magical voice has a job for me. ; )

and now the reviews

first on the agenda, I think I will direct my criticism at some Jelly beans. Okay, so Jelly Belly jelly beans. Everyone knows they have the best flavors out there, though they are expensive little buggers they are worth the extra pocket change once every Chinese new year. One problem with these surprisingly-accurate-in-flavor bites is how much they make me fear white jelly beans. If I am not sure whether that tiny speck on the side is a yellow dot or not, I simply toss the bean to the side and throw it out later. This may be disappointing to a number of happily pina colada flavored jelly beans, but roughly 85% of you will agree it is worth it. The demon in the bag is that not so buttery popcorn flavored hellion of a bean. Though I am a fan of the real deal, this snack is just not anything like popcorn. It makes every taste bud just scream for their constitutional rights against cruel and unusual punishment. but, I guess things could be worse, at least it's not a Harry Potter world in which I would be forced to guess whether I were plopping sugary coated vomit into my mouth or not.

With my wrath for the aforementioned jelly bean laid out I can now move on. Okay, so, true story: The other night my boyfriend, Chris (wanna read his blog too just click on his link to the right), his brother and I went to a party thrown by a guy at work. When we arrived we had already missed out on a little bit of beer pong, but that was fine because the same two teams spent over an hour more finishing that same game, so we got to see shall I say enough of the match...We were all bonding insulting the hosts ipod playlist when more people began to arrive. At this point most of the party goers were feeling a good buzz. It should be known that I was not feeling this same buzz, I chose the DD route for the evening. At least every person got to meet someone new that night. I was even "secretly dating" a girl I didn't even know while Chris was "sexing up" her boyfriend. All in good fun though. So, I decide to play beer pong with Chris because I know I can totally rock the table, despite having the handicap of not being totally sloshed. (I was going to say pissed but since not everyone is British...)I shot the first ball and it sank right in. Chris went...right in! I went again and I threw the ball so far to the right it probably could have hit Chris right in the eye if he had leaned in a little. Bad. it went down hill, only for me, soon and by the end Chris won. I then got to drive some other party goers to pick up rockband. For the record, if you ask the sober person to take you somewhere, let them know what they are getting into, or make it worth their while. That said...Rockband is a multiplayer, multi-piece game. though it comes packaged all in one neat little box in the store, that doesn't mean people think that is the best way to store it. Noooo, you should actually store it at your house and four friends' houses. I do see the value in this, should you get robbed, you only miss out on the drum kit or maybe the mic. I mean who really wants to hear Andy's rendition of Mississippi Queen that third time anyhow? After nearly an hour of collecting parts and people we were at the last house of our Rockband extravaganza. The man inside was phoned and we had to wait until he was...no lie...done beating a boss in World of Warcraft before he could come unlock the door and let everyone in. Unfortunately when we arrived back at the party, we realized the downfall to the outwit-the-robber game, forgetting the usb connection for the second guitar...oh well. I was excited to be back at the party where everyone was three sheets to the wind and waist deep in the remnants of beer spilled on the floor in the very competitive flip cup tournament, that, much to my enjoyment, was still in play.

Getting Started

So here I am "getting started." I have no intention of advertising my new endeavor into blogging, so if your here you certainly stumbled upon this page. I welcome you! So first I would just like to say that, four new accounts and numerous passwords I am unlikely to remember later I have a "blogspot." I am not good with the internet, I can research what other people have done, but when it comes to creating my own stuff, well...maybe I should just leave myspace to Tom. Case and point. A few months back I attempted to create my own yahoo account/profile. There was a guy I was interested in, he had yahoo...anyway. About 20 questions in, when the site started asking more personal "about me" questions, I realized I had created a personals profile. It worked out in my favor anyway, I mean, I had fun getting compliments and such.
I also am wary of the internet. My dad has always been paranoid that the crazy fraud people will steal all of our information. Probably legit, but it is not fun when security settings are really high. I guess that is a fun feature of sharing a family computer. It is because of his paranoia that I have acquired some paranoia of my own. I like to use a different password for all the things I do. While I generally use the same logon screen name. I have some accounts I haven't accessed in years because I just don't know what my password is anyway.
So with all the computer stuff out of the way I can get to the good stuff. My blog is going to be about me. Don't worry, you'll like it. My thoughts, opinions and the general filler of what is my day to day.
So lately I have been thinking about college. After completing two years of a Spanish degree at a NY university I took a break and I am still on that break. I want to go back and finish a history degree, but am not totally certain that it is something I want to do at the same college. My mom wants me to be an all american child and my dad just really wants me to leave home. Now as many of you may know, once you are out of college for a bit the loans start to kick in. >:o With that reality I am looking for a new job or even a part time job. I fear how that might affect my time with my boyfriend. Ultimately, I am not worried, I just don't like the idea of cutting down on time spent together cause I mean, I love him. You understand.
SO this is just the "getting started" post, stick around and learn some of the juicy details of my life. How I feel about some celebrities, politicians, what I think of new movies and some stories about my relationships. You'll like it but until then, I have to go do some dishes :(
