so Easter is on it's way and I am curious to know when it became Christmas. I heard a woman discussing with a friend what her kids were getting for Easter. The boy was going to get a Wii, that's right a Wii, for Easter and the girl was getting a power wheels car, through they are not sure she's old enough. Now I understand that this is not the norm, however kids are getting a lot for these menial holidays now. Arguably, Easter is not menial for those that are religious, but at the same time, the trade off is there is no bunny and no gifts just a big dinner with friends and family. Even for valentine's parents were coming out in droves just trying to make sure their kid brought the best valentines to school. Gag me if I am being unreasonable, but a 20 dollar present for St. Patrick's day is a little over the top.
with that out of the way, this could get redundant for those that read Chris' blog. My birthday just passed and I loved it, yay I am 22. kicked the weekend off with the beginning of Chris' DnD campaign. My character, an elven rogue named Silaqui, had some fun, she fought a little, almost died, stole some stuff, almost got caught by guard while jumping into a window in broad daylight...hey, I am new at this game and I was bored. She'll be a better trickster rogue next time. Saturday followed up with Chris and I getting the party supplies at the store and liquor store. Everyone got there, we drank, played guitar hero chiefly against one of the guys that is killing it on expert. meanwhile most of us that were actually playing have only hit he hard set recently. With the exception of my brother, we took his guitar hero and wii system virginity that night. the following morning Chris and I got up and ready and traveled out to Syracuse to go to the malls. That was good bonding ;) then we went to dinosaur bar-b-que for dinner. Long wait, but good food that was worth it. We saw Martina McBride in concert! This woman is my music hero. She is the epitome of who I would want to be if I were ever in that industry. the opening acts left something to be desired because they were a little too country for me. I kept singing to Chris, despite the fact that he doesn't like country because I wanted him to know I appreciated him being there and that even if he didn't enjoy it, it was worth bringing me because it was something really special. so yeah, good times for me!
time to go be a gamer, I haven't played mortal kombat in so long. I think it is time I kick someone's ass.
